Relationships between forgiveness, life satisfaction, and empathy in honorary blood donors. The mediating role of forgiveness

Introduction: Voluntary blood donation can be considered as an expression of pro-social behaviour, resulting from empathetic motives and a desire to help those in need transfusion whole or it’s components, it was demonstrated by numerous studies. The process is carried out accordance with the prescribed stages, which include initial qualification examination exclusion any diseases postoperative complications that may have negative consequences for future recipient. In view current trend psychological research group donors, we decided examine factors coexist enhance empathy this group, these being disposition forgiveness satisfaction life.
 Method: Main purpose present study relationship between life satisfaction, forgiveness, quotient, level explanation mediating role honorary donors. amounted 111 subjects (72 women 39 men). mean age 24.9 years (SD=8.7). variables were measured using scales: SWLS, HFS SSIE.
 Results: results conducted showed associations satisfactory (with higher proportion positive forgiveness) satisfaction. Mediation analysis also indirectly explains empathy. correlation seniority general found significant.
